- Completely defrost in the fridge overnight. OR - if you are short on time - place in warm water for half an hour to an hour.
- Add a bit of oil to a frying pan prevent sticking. Heal pan and oil. Add ground beef.
- Break up the ground beef. The Mix N' Chop from Pampered Chef is a great tool for the job!
- Use immediately, refrigerate for 1 week or freeze for 3 months
HALF HOUR CHILI - One of our favourite, quick and easy weeknight meals with ground beef
- 1lb Ground Beef
- Half an onion, finely chopped
- 1 can black beans
- 1 jar of your favourite tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp of taco seasoning
Add ground beef and chopped onion to pan. Brown. Add black beans, tomato sauce, and taco seasoning. Simmer for 20 minutes. Serve on top of a bun, pasta, or nacho chips with shredded cheese and sour cream.
